Grand Ma's Table

This table was my Grand Mothers. It had seen much better years. I always kept a table cloth on it and stuck it aside. Was just ugly.

I had seen from a post here how they stained the table bringing something old and no longer pretty, to something lovely. Thanks to reality daydream.com I was inspired to give this table a new look on life. I sanded and sanded.

Here is my Plan. I drew this flower and then took it to Staples to have them enlarge it so I could trace it on the table. I did have to use stripper and much more sanding. It is looking so much prettier with just the old finish removed.

I laid a plastic table cloth down in the garage and started my staining. If you do this in your garage and the door is open be ready neighbors will come . LOL

Here is the finished table. I ended up using three different stains to get the effect I wanted with this flower. This by far is my most favorite project. I believe my Grand Mother would be happy with the new life the table got.
