Red and White Valentine Jars Using Fish Tank Gravel

In my quest to keep it simple (which is not always simple for me to do), I wanted to try out an easy decor idea that my very creative niece used at one of our families outdoor summer parties. It was basically mason jars, fish tank gravel, water and some of her gorgeous blooms from her garden.
Since it's the middle of winter, here in the Midwest, I didn't have any fresh flowers, but I did think that some jars filled with a blend of red and white fish gravel might look stunning against the dreary backdrop these days.

This project couldn't be more "simple"!
- Several bags of fish gravel in the color of your choice
- Mason jars, spaghetti jars, wine bottles (aka any kind of clear glass container)
- funnel
- tea lights or flameless tea lights
- Sour cherries or candy red hots to add something sweet for Valentine's Day
- faux greenery... or not
-Line jars up next to each other.
-Add a layer of one color of gravel to each container
-Add a layer of the other color to each container
-Repeat
Optional
-Fill some containers with one color gravel only
-Fill some containers with candy of your choice

Fun and easy for any season with the colors of your choice.
Might be cute for a wedding or party tablescape.
If you click on the post link below you can see how my niece used fish tank gravel in her Summery Outdoor Party Table setting.
Thanks so much ~ Amy
