Bedroom Decor For Kids

Every child likes to add their own special touch to their bedroom.
This super easy and inexpensive project will allow them to create their own style and make a statement piece for their bedroom.

Using items that you can purchase at your local dollar store or may already have around your home, You or your child can customize a plain paper lantern into a beautiful accent piece for any room.

Materials:
Paper Lantern
Round Coffee Filters
Food Coloring/Gel
Hot Glue Gun
String of Lights





Our daughter loves to tie-dye shirts, so she wanted her lantern to reflect her style. We helped by dying the coffee filters in multiple colors.
*We highly recommend wearing rubber gloves!!*





Once they were all dried, we glued them onto a paper lantern.
Added the strand of lights to the inside and hung. If you do not want to hang it, it would look just as cute sitting on a dresser or night stand.
This DIY only cost us $3.00, since we already had the dye and glue. However, those are very inexpensive items to purchase.
The time was about a total of 2 hrs. Dye & dry =1hr, Gluing on filters=1hr
