Saved From a Life in the Attic!

A beautiful set of twins beds was offered to me, they were distined to be stored in the attic, they had such gorgeous detail I had to save them.

My husband repurposed one of them into a beautiful and useful bench.

The headboard became the back and the footboard was cut in half and became the sides.

The side rail made the front board and a piece of plywood was used for the the seat.

I had the perfect fabric for the cushions that I was saving for such a project. I used 4" medium density foam and poly fill for the back pillow.

I painted the bench with Shabby Chalk Paint and Hazelnut ReVax to make the details pop, but left some of the original paint like the hand painted flowers and the black painted out lines. I have a second one that we will restyle too!
