When I moved out of my parents home, I received a set of old furniture they purchased when I was an infant: a coffee table, an end table, an old sofa set. The coffee table had a recent makeover. It was past time for the end table to receive a fresh start too!First, I sanded the end table with 220 grit sandpaper.
I applied 3 coats of General Finishes Key West Blue chalk paint. I love this color. I was a little nervous at first because light pale colors is not a typical look that I go for, but this color was perfect for the piece.
Once the base coat dried, I taped the table's surface in a herringbone pattern. I painted alternate sections with white chalk paint.
Snow in Alabama?!
I really like the new look of the end table. I'm in love with this Key West Blue too.
