Give your walls a break and put up a water bowl splash blocker! An excuse me, what?
If you have a tremendously large dog like we do, you know how messy they can be drinking water. I had just repainted the kitchen wall a new hue and noticed shortly thereafter how terrible the wall looked with water streaking down all over it. I propped up a piece of particle board that was formerly a shelf to a crappy unit that broke.
Highly dissatisfied with it's lame appearance just sitting there it dawned on me to cut the shelf in a skyline shape, ah ha! Come read all the details about this project as well as many many others over on my blog at Flipping the Flip, humboldtartdept.blogspot.com!
I used a 3" circular saw and a jigsaw to cut the shapes out.
Once it was all cut, it was time to figure paint. I used white spray paint since it's water repellent and dries quickly.
Using some random leftover screws and washers, I attached this funky thing to the wall, stepped away, waited for the moment of truth....
And it worked! Water on cutout, not wall! Yay!
Turned out super cute! Now our big boy can feel like he's on a big city adventure while tanking up! Be sure to click the link below for all the details and much more.
