Fixer Upper Inspired Kitchen Redo Using Mostly Paint!

I am so excited about my kitchen update! I did all the work myself and it only cost about $300 for the major expenses.
Most of the updates were done using paint.
I used Stix primer and Benjamin Moore Advanced paint on the cabinets.
I created the faux shiplap using peel and stick vinyl flooring! The faux marble countertops were created using paint.

I love the look of white kitchens, but thought with kids, white on the lower cabinets seemed a little too risky. I went with charcoal for the lowers and am really happy with how they look next to my light appliances.
The major improvement was removing the overhead cabinets that hung across the bar area. I took them down and repurposed them for my coffee bar. The whole area really is so much more open feeling! I knew it would make a difference, but had no idea how much of a difference it would make!!
Visit my blog for the full list of supplies I used and specific tutorials for the shiplap and faux marble!!
