Well, back to the day I needed to buy my supplies. While I was driving an explorer feeling took charge of me and I thought I could be smart enough to find the industrial warehouse even if I changed the route, so there I went. On my defense I have to say it was not a mall, it was a huge industrial estate! After having seen the same shops three times, I admitted to myself I was lost. Even the girls told me: "mom, I think we have seen this before"... Okay, no worries, it couldn't be so difficult to get out as it was really simple to get in.
I decided to follow only the big avenues so they would lead me probably to the highway or somewhere I could recognize, and suddenly I saw it. It was like a vision! A big dumpster loaded with wood! It was outside a carpentry and they threw there all their wood scraps. Thankfully my boot was empty so I loaded it with lots of different sizes and perfectly cut wood scraps.
As always, I was so excited about it I didn't remember taking pictures of that moment, but the small ones looked like this.
The first thing I did were these three pictures for my updated hallway. I love how they look on that long wall, and the process can't be simpler.
I took some plywood I had at home and cut it to the size of a plain sheet of paper. Then I glued three pretty prints I had and varnished them. If you want you can have a look at the decoupage technique I used.
Finally, I glued the plywood to the piece of scrap wood, added an eyelet screw at the back and hung it, that simple!
