Small Half Bath Remodel

Finally getting around in sharing our half bath remodel in our condo, which I designed. The dimensions are 4x5. I do have to say that we were initially going to have a bathroom design showroom do the vanities, but when they came back with a quote of $3,500 for each vanity, that's when I said no way, and began the search to find the vanity that I wanted, but for a reasonable cost.
So living in a condo there are restrictions, such as the plumbing locations can't be moved around and one can't do add on's. But that doesn't mean that you can't be creative in designing the space in order to create storage or function you desire.
This half bath is part of the master bedroom, and I wanted it to be reflective of the bedroom, which will be spa/Caribbean. As you see there is no window, so your design needs to incorporate ways to bring light, storage, and the sense of space. The ceiling, door and trim are decorator white and the walls are a soft warm cream. These colors will be carried throughout our condo, in order to create light and have continuity throughout the condo. The color will be added with art, furnishings and accessories.
I purchased or had certain pieces custom made, and had the installation done by my contractor.
So let your inner creative side loose and create the space that is reflective of you. Sometimes the entire design comes together quickly and other times it evolves while finding the components for the space.

The Italian glass tile is from Joss and Main, and the small accessories are from Bed Bath and Beyond, and some are from artisans or old pieces on Etsy.

Vessel sink is from Home Depot, faucet from Build.com, reclaimed wood floating shelves were made by an artisan that I found on Etsy, and the mirror is from Joss and Main.





The bathroom vanity was made by an artisan in Ohio via his Etsy business. The top is a birch butcher block from Ikea, which I stained walnut and sealed with 2 coats of polyurethane.
