How Can I Update This Boring Basket to Store My Snugglies?

It's cold out there, and on cold days I like to sit on my couch and snuggle up with my blankets and pillows. The only problem is when I'm not "couch potatoing it" I have nowhere to put all of my "snugglies"!

Do you see that perfectly awful, boring basket? Well, I'm going to use it for storing my snugglies, but first it needs a makeover! A little white paint will go a long way to remedy that! I'll put a little on the thicker reeds.





And I'll add a grey shade on the handles and the two reeds going down the front of the basket.





But it's still too dull for my taste! Let's add some circles. I'll use jar lids of varying sizes to loosely outline the circles.A little distressing here and there, and I'm done.
Now this is more like it - a fun basket for my lively snugglies. The last thing I need is to have to look at a boring basket in the middle of the winter!Do you have a special place where you store your snugglies? To see what my finished basket looks like visit my blog link below.
